I know children are not that great after some days, but I think the early advantage is worth it (especially on day 1) and you might as well sign All Jobs to use them to build roads. For this reason, I think going Child Labour first is the most efficient way to play it. If you go Child Labour on day 3, you just lose 40 h on day 2 and from there on it's the same as Child Labour first, so you're just constantly 40 h down. In the following table I calculated the extra hours you get (compared to standard 65 people workforce on normal shifts) with each route (either Child Labour + Extended Shifts on day 3, or just Extended Shifts on day 2), and the difference. On day 3, if you went Child Labour -> Emergency Shifts -> Extended Shifts you get the extra 4 hours as well, so from day 3 the extra hours you get from extended shifts stack up even more (because you have 80 workers instead of 65). So by day 2, you get 300 h extra with Child Labour whereas the Extended Shifts route gives you 260 h: a 40 h advantage for the Child Labour-first route. However, do you really get an advantage by doing that? In terms of hours of work, the two alternatives are as follows:Ĭhild Labour on day 1: 15 children x 10 h = 150 extra hours of work per dayĮxtended Shifts on day 2: 65 workers x 4 h on day 2 = 260 extra hours per day Reason for this, the fact that you can sign Extended Shifts one day earlier (day 2 rather than day 3): at that point, people don't sign Child Labour anymore because it's not that great after the first two days I guess. I browsed some discussions on "build orders" and watched some videos, and it seems that many tend to go for Emergency Shifts as the first law rather than Child Labour. Everything that follows refers to Normal difficulty.įirst point. Hey all, I'm new here so apologies if somebody else already discussed this.
